Competitor Analysis

Know What Your Competitors Listed — Before Your Buyers Do

Daily competitor scans: new listings, photo refreshes, and the keywords you're missing.

Shop Radar already watches your own listings for free. Point it at a competitor's shop and it watches theirs too: a daily scan logs every new listing, delisting and photo change, benchmarks their catalog against yours, and shows the keywords their listings cover that yours don't — each gap one click away from a listing-ready AI photo of your own.

Know What Your Competitors Listed — Before Your Buyers Do

What is Competitor Analysis?

Competitor Shop Analysis is a watch-only layer of Shop Radar that scans a rival Etsy or Shopify storefront's public listings daily and turns the changes into an activity stream, side-by-side benchmarks and a keyword-gap list.

Add a competitor by pasting their shop link — no permissions, no account access, public listing data only, and nothing on their side ever knows. The first scan sets a baseline; from the next day on, every new listing, delisted item and swapped-out photo shows up in the activity stream with the shop's own logo and links straight to the listing.

Benchmarks put the two catalogs side by side — listing count, how often they publish, their season mix and category mix against yours — so "they're outrunning us" becomes a number you can act on. The keyword-gap list goes one step further: keywords buyers search where they have listings and you have none, each with their example listings and a one-click jump into the studio to shoot yours.

Why use it

Watching competitors by hand doesn't scale past one tab.

A daily activity stream of competitor listing changes — Competitor Shop Analysis

An Activity Stream Instead of a Morning Ritual

Checking rival shops tab by tab works until the week you're busy — which is exactly when they drop a new collection. Radar's daily scan does the round for you and writes down what changed: new listings, delistings, and listings whose photos were refreshed, in one stream per competitor.

  • New listings, delisted items and photo changes, logged daily
  • First scan sets a baseline — you see changes, not noise
  • Every event links out to the live listing
  • Watch-only: competitors never see you watching

Benchmarks That Turn a Hunch Into a Number

Their catalog next to yours: listing count, publishing cadence, season mix and category mix. If they publish twice a week while you publish twice a month, or their summer share is climbing while yours still says winter, the benchmark says so before your sales curve does.

  • Listing count and publishing cadence, side by side
  • Season mix — who's stocked for the season buyers are shopping
  • Category mix — where their catalog is heavy and yours is thin
  • Updated with every daily scan

Keyword Gaps, With the Photo to Close Them

The gap list shows keywords where competitors have listings and you have none — with their example listings as proof of demand. Each gap carries a one-click jump into the AI try-on studio to shoot a listing-ready photo of your own garment for exactly that search.

  • Keywords they cover that your catalog doesn't
  • Their example listings attached to every gap
  • One click to generate your covering photo — 1 credit

FAQ

Questions sellers ask first.

Will the competitor know I'm watching their shop?

No. Radar reads the same public listing pages any shopper can open — no login, no API keys on their side, nothing to detect. It's watch-only by design: no actions ever touch their shop.

Which platforms can I watch?

Competitor shops on Etsy and Shopify today. Your own shop can be on any of the eight platforms Radar supports.

How fresh is the data?

Radar scans once a day, and the first scan sets a baseline — day one shows their catalog, not a flood of "new" items. It's built for spotting moves in days, not minutes.

What does it cost?

Every plan includes competitor slots — one on Free, up to ten on Pro. Watching, the activity stream and benchmarks are all free; the only paid action is generating a photo to cover a keyword gap, at 1 credit like any other studio run.
