The FASHN alternative for AI on-model photos
Bottom line: FASHN is the price leader per credit and a genuinely strong product. The trade is that its published plans hold quality itself above entry — the “most realistic AI image generation” is described as a Pro feature, and custom face references sit on the $99 Agency tier. Every TinTin plan runs the same model at the same quality, and uploading your own model reference is on every plan, including free.
Upload one product photo — flat-lay, mannequin or ghost-mannequin — plus the model you want wearing it, and TinTin returns a studio-quality on-model image in minutes. The same credits cover bulk try-on and try-on video, and Shop Radar watches your live listing photos for free.
FASHN details last checked September 2026.

The short answer
- No quality tiers. FASHN's own pricing page describes its “most realistic AI image generation” as a Pro-and-up feature. On TinTin, Starter, Studio and Pro run the identical model — only the credit bucket changes.
- Your model from day one. On FASHN, custom face references are an Agency ($99/month) feature; below that you pick from the curated gallery. On TinTin, uploading your own model photo is on every plan, free tier included.
- Cheaper to try, not cheaper at volume. TinTin starts at $0 for 5 credits with no card, then $10/month. Per credit at volume, FASHN wins on list price — that trade is laid out honestly below.
- More than a generator. The same wallet covers bulk try-on, try-on video, nail-art try-on and free daily listing monitoring across eight platforms.
TinTin vs. FASHN, side by side
| Dimension | TinTin | FASHN |
|---|---|---|
| Published plans | $10 / month (Starter, 20 credits) · $39 (Studio, 90) · $129 (Pro, 320) — or annual billing at $90 / $360 / $1,200 with the year's credits upfront | Basic $19 (200 credits) · Pro $49 (750 + 50 daily bonus) · Agency $99 (1,500 + 100 daily bonus) per month; annual billing advertised at roughly two months off |
| Cost per credit at entry | $0.50 on Starter, down to $0.31 on annual billing | ~$0.095 on Basic — several times cheaper per credit on list price, with top-ups published at $0.10 (100 minimum) (FASHN wins this row) |
| Generation quality by tier | Identical on every plan — Starter runs the same model as Pro, at the same quality and speed | The “most realistic AI image generation” is listed as a Pro-and-up feature on the published pricing page; Basic runs without it |
| Your own model | Upload a model photo on any plan, including free — one identity across the whole catalog | Curated face gallery on all tiers; custom face references (upload or create) are Agency-only at $99/month |
| Smallest commitment | $0 — 5 credits with no card, then $10 for one month, cancel any time | $19/month (Basic); no free tier documented on the pricing page |
| Credit rollover | Monthly credits reset at month-end; annual billing grants the whole year upfront (FASHN wins this row) | Rollover documented per tier with caps — up to 600 credits on Basic, 2,250 on Pro, 4,500 on Agency |
| Video | Try-on video = 4 credits, on any paid plan | AI video capped at 720p on Basic; 1080p from Pro up |
| Concurrency & seats | No published concurrency gate; plans are single-workspace | 3 / 6 / 11 simultaneous generations and 2 / 5 / 10 seats by tier |
| Categories covered | Apparel (single + bulk), try-on video, and press-on nails & nail art | Fashion apparel try-on, editing and video, plus a developer API |
| Watching your live listings | Shop Radar — free forever. Daily photo checks on Shopify, Etsy, Amazon, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce and eBay, with one-click reshoots | Not offered |
| AI-agent access | Public MCP server — shop audits and try-on generation from Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client | Developer REST API; no public MCP server documented |
What the $10 tier actually produces
The table above says quality is not tiered here. These renders are the evidence — each one our own output, shown full-size on the page it links to.
One product photo → on-model shotFlat-lay in, styled on-model image out — the same model quality on Starter as on Pro.
A season → one queueYour own model identity carried across the catalog — no $99 tier between you and it.
Styled looks, not just packshotsLayered outfits and lifestyle settings from the same product photos, at 4K on any plan.
Live listings → a reshoot listShop Radar checks your published photos daily across eight platforms. Free, no plan needed. Why sellers go looking for a FASHN alternative
FASHN is a strong, developer-friendly product with the best list price per credit in its group. The friction sellers describe is about where its published plans draw the tier lines.
- The cheap tier and the evaluated tier are different products. When “most realistic generation” is a Pro feature, the $19 plan you buy is not the output you saw praised — and testing on a Pro trial tells you nothing about Basic.
- Your model costs $99/month. Keeping one consistent, brand-owned face across a catalog means custom face references, and those sit on Agency. For a small brand, the model identity is the whole point.
- Entry video is 720p. Publishable short-form video wants 1080p, which starts at Pro.
- It generates; it does not watch. Producing the photo is one job — catching the live listing whose photo has quietly gone stale is another, and nothing in the stack does it.
What you get for the same credits in TinTin
One wallet, every studio at full quality, and a free monitor sitting on top of your live storefront:
- Shop Radar, free forever. Daily listing-photo checks across eight platforms, with a one-click AI reshoot on anything it flags — how the audit works.
- Bulk try-on. Push a whole season through at once instead of SKU by SKU — Bulk AI Try-on.
- Video on any paid plan. 4 credits for a try-on clip, with no resolution ladder to climb.
- Nail-art try-on. Hand models across skin tones and nail shapes for press-on sellers — see the studio.
- Agent access via MCP. Audit a shop for free with no account, or generate try-ons with an API key, from any MCP client — connect an agent.
Where FASHN may still be the better fit
We would rather you pick the right tool than churn in a month. FASHN is the stronger choice if:
- Your volume is high and steady. At ~$0.095 per credit on Basic against our $0.31–$0.50, list price at volume is not close — if you are pushing thousands of images and the Basic-tier output passes your bar, price it out properly.
- You are building on an API. FASHN ships a documented developer API as a first-class product; TinTin's agent surface is MCP, which suits assistants better than build-your-own pipelines.
- Rollover matters to you. Its credits roll over with published caps per tier; TinTin's monthly credits reset at month-end.
- You want team seats at entry. Two seats come with its $19 tier, rising to ten on Agency.
Switching takes about ten minutes
1. Reuse the photos you already have
Flat-lay, mannequin, ghost-mannequin or a clean phone shot — whatever you upload to FASHN today works here unchanged.
2. Upload your model
The step that costs $99/month there is the default here: upload a model photo to keep one face and body across the catalog, or pick from ours.
3. Judge it on your own SKUs
Five free credits, no card. Run the three products whose photos matter most and compare the outputs before moving any spend.
FASHN alternative — FAQ
Is TinTin cheaper than FASHN?
Not per credit — and we would rather say so plainly. FASHN's Basic works out around $0.095 per credit against TinTin's $0.31–$0.50. What TinTin does not do is tier the product: the model quality, 4K output, video and your own model reference are identical from Starter up, where FASHN's published plans place its most realistic generation on Pro and custom face references on Agency. Cheap credits into a gated tier can cost more than dearer credits into the full product. Prices checked September 2026; see pricing and their page for today's rates.
Does TinTin have an API like FASHN?
TinTin's programmatic surface is a public MCP server — shop audits without an account, try-on generation with an API key, callable from Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client. If you specifically want a REST API to build a pipeline on, that is a real FASHN strength and we say so above.
Can I keep one model across my catalog without the top tier?
Yes — that is the clearest difference between the two. Upload a model reference on any TinTin plan, free included, and the same face and body carry across every render. On FASHN's published plans, custom face references are an Agency feature.
Do TinTin credits roll over like FASHN's?
No. FASHN documents rollover with caps by tier (600 / 2,250 / 4,500); TinTin's monthly credits reset at month-end, and annual billing grants the full year upfront instead. If your volume is seasonal, that is a genuine point in FASHN's favour and it is in the fairness section above.
Is there a free trial?
Signing up grants 5 credits with no card, valid for 7 days, with all four apps unlocked. Your first generations are watermark-free; later free renders come back watermarked, and subscribing clears the watermark from your entire history retroactively.
Does TinTin do video?
Yes, on every paid plan: a try-on video costs 4 credits, with no resolution tier between you and the output — where FASHN's published plans cap Basic at 720p and start 1080p at Pro.
How we compare these tools
Both columns are sourced, and we date them so you can tell when they went stale:
- TinTin's numbers come from our own pricing page: Free (5 one-time credits, 7-day validity), Starter $10/mo for 20 credits, Studio $39/mo for 90, Pro $129/mo for 320; annual billing grants the year upfront at a lower per-credit rate. One credit renders one on-model image; 4K costs 2, a try-on video 4.
- FASHN's rows were read directly off fashn.ai/pricing on the date above: Basic $19/month for 200 credits (rollover cap 600, 2 seats, 720p video, 3 simultaneous generations, top-ups $0.10 with a 100 minimum), Pro $49 (750 credits + 50 daily bonus, cap 2,250, 5 seats, 1080p, 6 simultaneous, described as carrying the most realistic image generation), Agency $99 (1,500 + 100 daily bonus, cap 4,500, 10 seats, custom face references, 11 simultaneous). Annual billing is advertised at roughly two months off.
- Feature rows reflect each product's publicly documented capabilities. Where something isn't described on a rival's site we say “not offered” or “not documented” rather than asserting it doesn't exist.
